The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is reporting that some 5,100 kilogrammes, or more than 11,000 pounds, of cocaine, with an estimated street value of approximately JM$3 billion, have been seized by the Firearms and Narcotics Investigation Division (FNID) since the start of the year.
The JCF said the seizures, which it said were carried out through targeted operations, have significantly disrupted transnational organised crime networks.
It noted that the amount of cocaine seized by the FNID so far in 2026 exceeds the combined total seized over six consecutive years (2016–2021) and is the highest amount seized in the past 10 years.
