Couva police are investigating a daytime theft targeting a 70-year-old pastor in Lisas Gardens.
According to reports, around 2:25 p.m. on Tuesday, the victim was standing in front of his Flamingo Avenue home when a man approached him under the pretense of conversation. Shortly afterward, the suspect reportedly snatched a white envelope containing $24,000, the proceeds from the pastor’s church, from his hand.
The thief then fled the scene, entering a silver Nissan Tiida with registration PDN 2035.
