(Kaieteur News) – It is that time of year again when the Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS) celebrates National Quality Week (NQW). The week of activities coincides with World Standards Day (WSD), observed annually on 14th October to promote the application of standards for improvements in product and service quality, environmental preservation and more.
This year’s theme is “A Shared Vision for a Better World – Spotlight on SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy.” The theme was jointly selected by members of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), as part of a multi-year campaign focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
