The search for Can­dace Hon­ore end­ed yes­ter­day, af­ter a suit­case con­tain­ing hu­man re­mains be­lieved to be hers was pulled from a shal­low pond along Oropouche Road, Va­len­cia.

The 22-year-old woman was re­port­ed miss­ing on Ju­ly 10, two days af­ter she failed to re­turn home from work at a com­mu­ni­ty roti shop.

While Hon­ore’s par­ents were not al­lowed to view the dis­mem­bered re­mains, which were stuffed in­to sev­er­al gro­cery bags and packed in­to a black suit­case, they ac­cept­ed it was her.
