AI Could Overhaul Guyana’s Entrepreneurial Future, Professor Shamir Ally Says

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is poised to transform far more than the technology sector, potentially reshaping how Guyana educates entrepreneurs, manages agriculture, runs traditional industries and competes in international markets, according to Professor Dr. Shamir Ally.

In his latest contribution to Village Voice News’ “Diplomatic Speak” column, Ally argues that AI is forcing a fundamental rethink of conventional business education, moving entrepreneurs away from textbook-driven learning and toward real-time analysis, predictive modelling and continuous decision-making.

Ally is a former Guyana Ambassador to Kuwait, serving from 2016 to 2020, and has also served as Guyana’s alternate governor at the Islamic Development Bank. He holds a PhD dissertation on Preparing CARICOM for the Twenty-First Century Through Regional Economic Integration. Village Voice News has previously described him as an “Eminent Professor and Ambassador Extraordinaire.”
