FORMER government minister Ralph Maraj has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar and Minister of Foreign and Caricom Affairs Sean Sobers for his appointment as Ambassador of Trinidad and Tobago to the Caribbean Community (Caricom).

In response to questions from the Express, Maraj said, “I thank the Prime Minister, the Honourable Kamla Persad-Bissessar, for this opportunity to serve our country at this level. I look forward to working with my Minister, the Honourable Sean Sobers, in this work of his portfolio.”

Speaking on the current global landscape, Maraj highlighted the scale of instability, noting that the world is experiencing “very turbulent” times.
