KINGSTON, Jamaica — With Jamaica’s construction sector expanding rapidly and billions of dollars being invested in hotels, housing developments and major infrastructure projects, National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited (NCBJL) is positioning itself as a key financier for contractors and small businesses seeking to acquire trucks, tractors, heavy equipment and solar energy systems.
The bank on Friday unveiled a package of financing solutions, vendor partnerships and insurance services aimed at helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) take advantage of opportunities emerging across the island, particularly in construction, logistics and tourism.
According to a release, the initiative comes as demand continues to grow for heavy-duty vehicles and equipment to support large-scale developments, including new hotel projects, road works and resort communities where contractors require fleets of trucks, tractors and other machinery.
