The new school term can be a time of excitement for many children, but it can also be a time of anxiety and stress, according to Equilibrium Counselling Service marital and family therapist Lana Kerr-Job.
She is urging parents to mentally and emotionally prepare their children for a better transition back into the classroom.
She said that while it is important to provide the necessary school supplies and uniforms, we also have to ensure that our children are mentally and emotionally prepared for the new school term.
