Min­is­ter of Ed­u­ca­tion Dr Michael Dowlath is urg­ing par­ents to en­sure their chil­dren con­tin­ue at­tend­ing school af­ter the Sec­ondary En­trance As­sess­ment (SEA) takes place on Thurs­day, stress­ing that the post-ex­am pe­ri­od is vi­tal for eas­ing the tran­si­tion to sec­ondary school and prepar­ing stu­dents for a rapid­ly evolv­ing, tech­nol­o­gy-dri­ven world.

Dur­ing a vis­it to the Mara­bel­la Pres­by­ter­ian Church yes­ter­day, where he spoke to SEA stu­dents of Har­mo­ny Hall Pres­by­ter­ian School, Dr Dowlath said while much fo­cus is placed on the SEA ex­am it­self, the weeks that fol­low are equal­ly im­por­tant in help­ing stu­dents adapt to a new aca­d­e­m­ic en­vi­ron­ment.
