Alisha Sargeant said she was just nine years old when a boy struck her in the left eye and kicked her in the chest in Queen’s Park, The City.

Alisha and her mother, Gale Sargeant, are lamenting that the last 13 years have been a masterclass in systemic failure – a gruelling journey through a legal maze that exhausted their finances, compounded their trauma and left them staring at an empty courtroom.
