Guyana Amazon Warriors produced a stunning lower-order fightback to defeat Trinidad and Tobago Red Force by two wickets with three balls remaining and capture the Women’s Caribbean Premier League title at Kensington Oval on Thursday.
Chasing 146 for victory, the Amazon Warriors made a strong start, reaching 43 for one at the end of the powerplay after opener Eboni Brathwaite was dismissed for five off the final ball of the opening over.
But their chase unravelled as they slumped to 71 for six midway through the 13th over, when Shemaine Campbelle was dismissed for nine.
