KINGSTON, Jamaica — Minister with Responsibility for Works Robert Morgan says he is deeply saddened and has ordered an investigation following the death of a supervising engineer at the Montego Bay Perimeter Road Project on Thursday.
“On behalf of the Government, the ministry and our implementing agencies, I extend sincere condolences to the family, loved ones and colleagues of the deceased. We share their grief at this profoundly difficult time,” said Morgan.
The statement comes hours after the engineer died from injuries he sustained after being run over by a truck while carrying out his duties along a section of the roadway, also referred to as the Montego Bay bypass in St James.
