(Kaieteur News) – A 22-year-old Corentyne man walked, he was acquitted at the Berbice High Court on Thursday after a 12-member found him not guilty of a charge of rape.
Appearing before Justice Peter Hugh on Wednesday was Winston Browne, also called ‘Monkey Palm’, a labourer of Liverpool Village, Corentyne. He was charged for rape, contrary to Section 33 of the Sexual Offences Act, Chapter 8:03.
