THE Ministry of the People, Social Development and Family Services says its has taken “prompt and decisive action” to address a backlog in the processing of senior citizens’ pension applications.
In a release yesterday, the ministry noted that, through its Social Welfare Division, it had identified specific challenges related to receiving information from the National Insurance Board (NIB) and the Immigration Division.
These issues have affected the timely processing of some applications.
