THE Emancipation Support Committee of Trinidad and Tobago (ESCTT) responded to line minister Michelle Benjamin’s claims about its relevance and funding, saying, in a release, that it was far from outdated but, rather, its growth and development remain under resourced.
The committee’s release was prompted by one issued from the Ministry of Culture and Community Development.
In that release, Benjamin referenced the “poor turnout” at the July 25 opening of the Lidj Yasu Omowale Emancipation Village.
