ONE of the men who was charged in connection with a $5 million heist from an armoured security vehicle at Piarco International Airport in 2017 has failed in his lawsuit against the State claiming assault and battery at the hands of police upon his arrest.
The man, Kevin Findley, 49, alleged that officers used their fists, feet and the handle of a pickaxe to beat him for close to 45 minutes when they arrived at his Augustine Terrace, Diego Martin, home on the afternoon of December 11, five days after the robbery.
The money was to be delivered to a commercial bank in Tobago.
