VENDORS at the Breakfast Shed in Port of Spain say despite five months of efforts to meet with officials from the Urban Development Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago (UDeCOTT) to resolve long-standing issues, they are once again facing eviction.
Yesterday, the Express obtained a copy of the “Notice to Quit” which was delivered to them last week Friday and which stated that they have until April 30 to vacate the premises.
In the letter, UDeCOTT stated that the vendors owe “outstanding arrears of rent as of February 2026 in the sum of $1,947,288.46 VAT inclusive.”
