FOR nearly 30 years, former schoolteacher Ishwar Mangaroo guided his students to the light through the path of education.
But in 2013, his world turned dark when he started to lose his vision.
Mangaroo, 58, was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, a group of rare genetic eye diseases that cause vision loss. He was deemed legally blind.
