Former Finance Minister Colm Imbert has said the national budget is likely to be presented on October 6, if the government is behaving normally.
He was responding to a question about the absence of a budget date during an opposition press conference on October 1.
“You need about 20 days to complete the exercise if you do it in the usual way…but this political party has a habit. I remember in 2010 that they ran the budget in 24 hours. I remember at 3 am, going to then-Prime Minister Bissessar saying, ‘It’s three in the morning, why are we still debating?’
