THE discovery of Sabita Basdeo, who was allegedly held captive and tortured at a residence in San Francique for seven years, has revealed the tragic lives of her husband and two young sons.
Her husband, 55-year-old Krishendeo Basdeo, said he struggled to raise his sons, who were just four and nine years old when their mother was taken away. He said Sabita, now 42, was a beautiful woman who loved her boys, and the woman he saw last week was not the wife he once knew.
