Trinidad and Tobago has the necessary infrastructure to process the 604 million standard cubic feet of natural gas expected to be produced by the Manatee gas field per day, according to Minister of Energy and Energy Industries Roodal Moonilal.
Speaking at the Manatee Plus gas project milestone ceremony yesterday, on the completion of jackets and piles fabrication at the TOFCO (Trinidad Offshore Foundation Company) yard, La Brea, Moonilal said this figure was equivalent to 104,000 barrels of oil per day and the country had the necessary infrastructure to process up to one billion.
What was more impressive, he said, was what that amount of gas could do for the country, including supÂportÂÂing its manufacturing, emÂployment, earning foreign exchange, and generating revenue.
