Kaieteur Sports â Patentia Secondary School produced a championship-winning week, lifting two Tapeball cricket titles in the space of three days after claiming both the Georgetown Office Assistant Promotion Committee (GOAPC) End-of-Term Secondary Schools Boysâ Tapeball Cricket Competition and the CARICOM Schools Knockout Tournament.
The school first stamped its authority on Saturday at the National Cultural Centre tarmac, edging St. Johnâs College by a narrow five-run margin in the GOAPC final.
Asked to bat first, Patentia posted a competitive 59-4 from its allotted overs. Captain Krishna Mahase led from the front with a top score of 28, while Shazad Ally added a valuable 17. Val Samuels also made a useful contribution with 12 runs to steady the innings.
