Po­lice Com­mis­sion­er Al­lis­ter Gue­var­ro and act­ing Pris­ons Com­mis­sion­er Hay­den Forde have called for faith and uni­ty as law en­force­ment works to re­store peace across the coun­try.

Speak­ing yes­ter­day at the T&T Po­lice Ser­vice’s Wor­ship, Word and War­fare Fo­rum at the Queen’s Park Sa­van­nah, Port of Spain, Gue­var­ro told the crowd, “The na­tion is in need of heal­ing,” and urged the pub­lic to “get some bless­ings” de­spite the rain.

“It is the TTPS and the law en­force­ment per­son­nel that are charged with bring­ing that heal­ing to this na­tion, and re­turn­ing law­ful­ness where law­less­ness ex­ists,” he said, adding, “We in­tend to bring peace to the na­tion and we in­tend to do so in the name of Je­sus.”
