A 21-year-old Mara­bel­la man was shot and robbed af­ter board­ing what he thought was a taxi on Fri­day night.

The man told po­lice that around 8 pm, he got in­to a white AD wag­on at Roops Junc­tion in Cou­va, which al­ready had one pas­sen­ger in the back seat. He asked to be tak­en to West Bayshore, Mara­bel­la.

The man said while ap­proach­ing Flow­er­pot Beach along the South­ern Main Road in Pointe-a-Pierre, the pas­sen­ger pulled a gun, stole his $2,000 gold chain, and or­dered him out of the ve­hi­cle.
