WBD house goes up in flames after gas cylinder explodes

An exploded gas cylinder has led to the complete destruction of a house at Goed Intent, West Bank Demerara (WBD), on Wednesday. In addition, one of the occupants sustained burns to his shoulder and back and was later admitted to the West Demerara Regional Hospital.

Based on reports received, firefighters responded to the report of a fire at the location, and upon their arrival, they observed that a wooden and concrete structure was completely engulfed in flames.

They immediately sprang into action and contained the blaze to one building, thus preventing it from spreading to neighbouring properties. The occupants were unable to salvage any personal or household items.
