Matthews elevates to career-best ODI rankings

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (CMC) –— West Indies Women’s Captain Hayley Matthews has achieved career-best rankings in the ICC’s Women’s ODI batting and all-rounder rankings, following her impressive performance in the just-concluded series against Zimbabwe Women.

Matthews scored an incredible 326 runs in the three-match series — inclusive of two centuries — at an astonishing average of 108.66 to claim the Player of the Series award, as West Indies emerged 2-1 winners.

Those performances have seen the 28-year-old climb to fourth in the batting rankings and second among all-rounders.
