Attorney General John Jeremie, SC, has stopped the state’s appeal of a 2023 High Court ruling that found the detention and forced return of firearm dealer Brent Thomas from Barbados in 2022 was unlawful.
Jeremie announced his decision in a September 16 letter to Thomas’s attorneys, apologising for the ordeal and signaling a willingness to negotiate damages.
