After pleading guilty to wounding his grandmother and assaulting police officers, Namari Jumar Murray has been remanded to the Psychiatric Hospital for three weeks
The 24 year old of Scotts Terrace, Grazettes, St Michael, pleaded guilty to unlawfully and maliciously wounding Gale Brathwaite; assaulting Constable Sherlon Spooner, occasioning him actual bodily harm; resisting PC Spooner; and assaulting PC Shaquille Nicholls in the execution of their duties on August 13.
Prosecutor Sergeant Victoria Leacock informed the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court No. 1 that Brathwaite was at home with the accused when he began to exhibit “strange behaviour”. Murray, who has been diagnosed with intermittent explosive behaviour, threw his tablet at her.
