Thirty-three-year-old John Sampson of Congress Drive, South Ruimveldt, Georgetown, who was accused of robbing a housewife at Herstelling, East Bank Demerara (EBD), on Thursday, was slapped with an armed robbery charge.
Sampson appeared before Magistrate Dylon Bess at the Diamond Magistrate’s Court on Friday, where he pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him. As such, he was granted $100,000 bail, and the matter was adjourned to July 30, 2026.
