KINGSTON, Jamaica — Retirees who were unable to access their National Insurance Scheme (NIS) pensions on Tuesday have begun receiving payments.
The update was shared in a Thursday advisory from the Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MLSS), following a delay caused by technical issues affecting direct deposits.
The ministry says pension payments have now been successfully uploaded and that the affected pensioners who get payments via direct deposit have begun receiving funds.
