DOLLY PARTON, the legendary country music singer, songwriter, actress and philanthropist whose career spanned more than six decades, has died at the age of 80.
Parton’s death was announced on August 25, with reports saying she died in Nashville. No cause of death was immediately disclosed.
Known worldwide as the “Queen of Country,” Parton rose from humble beginnings in rural Tennessee to become one of the most successful and recognisable entertainers in the world.
