ComĀmisĀsionĀer of PoĀlice AlĀlisĀter GueĀvarĀro has reĀasĀsured the pubĀlic that more than 55,000 firearm files reĀmain seĀcure, folĀlowĀing a rupĀture in the fire supĀpresĀsion sysĀtem at the PoĀlice AdĀminĀisĀtraĀtion BuildĀing, Port of Spain, on MonĀday.
In an auĀdio stateĀment, GueĀvarĀro said, āLet me be abĀsoluteĀly clear beĀcause I have seen and heard the comĀments and conĀspirĀaĀcy theĀoĀries on soĀcial meĀdia. The 55,000 plus firearm files are safe. The onĀly firearm files afĀfectĀed were those brought to my ofĀfice for weekĀly adĀjuĀdiĀcaĀtion. So there's no need for panĀic.ā
He exĀplained that the inĀciĀdent was trigĀgered by onĀgoĀing elecĀtriĀcal isĀsues at the buildĀing, deĀscribĀing it as ānot a modĀern faĀcilĀiĀty⦠we are opĀerĀatĀing with just one elĀeĀvaĀtor. The cenĀtral air conĀdiĀtionĀing sysĀtem does not funcĀtion in most arĀeas.ā
