The Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion has clar­i­fied the pro­ce­dure for the col­lec­tion and dis­tri­b­u­tion of TD4 tax slips fol­low­ing com­plaints from teach­ers that they have been un­able to ac­cess the doc­u­ments need­ed to file tax­es and claim an­nu­ities.

Teach­ers told Guardian Me­dia that the Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion had not pro­vid­ed them with TD4 slips and that when they at­tempt­ed to col­lect them from paysheets staff, they were re­port­ed­ly told that school su­per­vi­sors would col­lect and dis­trib­ute the doc­u­ments when they had the time.

In a state­ment, the min­istry said TD4 slips are pre­pared cen­tral­ly and for­ward­ed to the re­spec­tive Dis­trict Ed­u­ca­tion Of­fices.
