Prime MinĀisĀter KamĀla PerĀsad-BissesĀsar has firmĀly deĀnied claims that a paraĀmilĀiĀtary group enĀtered Venezuela from Trinidad and ToĀbaĀgo, deĀclarĀing the govĀernĀment has seen no evĀiĀdence to supĀport such asĀserĀtions.
āI say catĀeĀgorĀiĀcalĀly we have no evĀiĀdence to valĀiĀdate this at this point,ā she said, adĀdressĀing reĀports cirĀcuĀlatĀing in both VenezueĀlan and loĀcal meĀdia.
PerĀsad-BissesĀsar reĀferred specifĀiĀcalĀly to a reĀport in the VenezueĀlan press in which the JusĀtice MinĀisĀter alĀleged that TrinidaĀdiĀan naĀtionĀal Guis Kendell Jerome had been capĀtured among the group. āAgain, we have seen no evĀiĀdence to supĀport the comĀments from these VenezueĀlan ofĀfiĀcials,ā she said.
