(Kaieteur News) – In an exciting final encounter Vryman’s Erven Secondary school defeated New Amsterdam Multilateral Secondary School to take top honours in the NA Inter Secondary School female cricket competition.
The three days competition, which was held from Friday 18 to Sunday 20, was played at the Berbice High School (BHS) Ground. Five schools participated. Namely Berbice High School (BHS), Berbice Educational Institute (BEI), New Amsterdam Multilateral Secondary School (NAMSS), Vryman’s Erven Secondary School (VESS) and Tutorial Academy Secondary School (TASS).
In a fitting climax, the round robin competition saw all the schools playing each other with the top four advancing to the semifinals before the two winners met in the final.
