The High Court of Trinidad and Tobago has officially designated the Venezuelan criminal group Tren de Aragua as a terrorist entity.
This decision follows an application filed by the Attorney General and is grounded in Section 22B of the Anti-Terrorism Act, Chapter 12:07, as well as the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1373.
The court’s order, issued yesterday afternoon, officially prohibits all persons and entities in Trinidad and Tobago from engaging in any dealings with Tren de Aragua.
