ST JOHNâS, Antigua (CMC):West Indies Women will be without one of their key players for the upcoming One Day International series against Ireland Women, which bowls off  today.All-rounder Chinelle Henry will miss the tour due to injury, Cricket West Indies (CWI) announced in a press release yesterday.CWI did not reveal the extent of the injury sustained by the 30-year-old Henry.Guyanese all-rounder Realeanna Grimmond has been named as her replacement and is the only change to the 15-member squad that was selected for the Tri-series against Ireland and Pakistan and the recently concluded ICC Womenâs T20 World Cup.The tour marks the teamâs third assignment of the new ICC Womenâs Championship cycle, offering another opportunity to bank points and build momentum on the road to World Cup qualification.Head coach Shane Deitz said the three-match series was important towards gaining automatic selection to the World Cup.He said he expected a tough challenge from the home side, which defeated the West Indies at the recently concluded Womenâs T20 World Cup.âIreland would be a tough opponent in their conditions, and we need to adapt fast and make sure we play some good cricket.âThese are valuable points for qualification for the next ODI World Cup, and this series and the next few series over the next six to eight months are really important for us to get some wins on the board and make sure weâre in contention for that next ODI World Cup,â Deitz said.Captain Hayley Matthews said the team had reflected on their exit from the World Cup at the semi-final stage and was in good spirits ahead of the tour.âWeâve had a little bit of time to reflect on the World Cup and take the lessons from it. Our focus is firmly on whatâs ahead.
