Min­is­ter of Cul­ture Michelle Ben­jamin says Trinidad and To­ba­go can ex­pect a “bumper” Car­ni­val in 2026, de­spite on­go­ing na­tion­al anx­i­ety and wider re­gion­al ten­sions.

The min­is­ter was speak­ing to re­porters dur­ing her an­nu­al Christ­mas treat for chil­dren, held this year at the Moru­ga Mul­ti-pur­pose Youth & Sport Fa­cil­i­ty, where the grounds were trans­formed in­to a live­ly, colour­ful space filled with laugh­ter, mu­sic and fes­tive cheer.
