THE brother-in-law of UK-Trinidadian businessman Zaheer Esat has appeared in court charged with his kidnapping.
Jonathan Nancoo was placed on $375,000 bail.
The charge against 28-year-old Nancoo is that on April 4 at Warren Road, Cunupia, he, along with others, for ransom, seized and took Esat away without his consent or without lawful excuse. He was held and prevented from returning to his normal place of abode, the charge laid under the Kidnapping Act by constable Francis of the Cunupia Police Station, further stated.
