POLICE have confirmed that a 28-year-old man has been held for the kidnapping of 46-year-old UK citizen and businessman Zaheer Esat.

This was confirmed by Assistant Commissioner of Police Richard Smith yesterday during a press briefing at the Police Administration Building in Port of Spain.

Smith confirmed that the suspect had been detained during a police operation. He is expected to be questioned, and it is hoped that he will reveal his collaborators.
