KINGSTON, Jamaica  —   A British woman who was allegedly found with more than six pounds of cocaine, with a street value of $3 million, at the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) in July, was granted bail in the sum of $1 million when she appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Tuesday.

Twenty-eight-year-old Bethany Grant, a resident of Birmingham, England, has been charged with conspiracy to traffic cocaine, possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine and taking steps to export cocaine. According to court documents, about 6:26 pm on July 13, 2026, a police constable was on duty at the NMIA when she observed Grant being interviewed by a police corporal.

Grant was later brought to an area for security checks.
