THIRTY-ONE-YEAR-OLD rig-worker Romario Gonzales died yesterday morning after being repeatedly stabbed during an altercation at a bar at St Ann's Village in Mayaro.
According to police, Gonzales, of Ortoire Village, died while being treated for multiple injuries at the Mayaro District Health facility predawn on Saturday. Relatives said he left behind his common-law wife, a three-year-old daughter and several siblings, who were devastated and shocked by the death.
Officers were on patrol yesterday when they received information about a serious wounding and were directed to the health facility.
