CariĀcom Heads of GovĀernĀment have agreed to reĀfer the disĀpute surĀroundĀing the reapĀpointĀment of CariĀcom SecĀreĀtary GenĀerĀal Dr CarĀla BarĀnett to the Caribbean Court of JusĀtice (CCJ).
The deĀciĀsion was anĀnounced toĀday durĀing the 51st RegĀuĀlar MeetĀing of the ConĀferĀence of Heads of GovĀernĀment in St LuĀcia.
Prime MinĀisĀter KamĀla PerĀsad-BissesĀsar had proĀposed reĀferĀring the matĀter to the CCJ afĀter raisĀing conĀcerns about the process used to exĀtend Dr BarĀnettās tenure.
