THE National Lottery Control Board (NLCB) finance lead consultant Wendy Dwarika has disclosed that there are millions of dollars of unclaimed prizes, including a $14 million unclaimed Lotto prize.

Dwarika made the disclosure before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) yesterday for the examination of its Audited Financial Statements and Internal Controls for the years 2008–2012, as well as the Report of the Auditor General on its Financial Statements for the year 2013.

Member of the PAC Hazel Thompson-Ahye sought an explanation about unclaimed prizes. Dwarika noted that unclaimed prizes represent prizes that have not yet been claimed by winners of various tickets.
