Pub­lic Util­i­ties Min­is­ter Bar­ry Padarath has dis­missed sug­ges­tions that the re­cent res­ig­na­tions of two di­rec­tors from the Telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions Ser­vices of Trinidad and To­ba­go (TSTT) board were linked to in­ter­nal dis­agree­ments or gov­er­nance is­sues, in­sist­ing the de­par­tures were prompt­ed by pro­fes­sion­al com­mit­ments out­side the com­pa­ny.

He said there was “noth­ing sin­is­ter” be­hind the res­ig­na­tions of Nadi­ra Prab­hu­di­al and Kyle Mal­oney.

“It was es­sen­tial­ly be­cause of the po­si­tions they hold in their sub­stan­tive jobs. There were con­flicts in terms of sched­ul­ing and work­load,” he said.
