The Local Government and Regional Development Ministry continues to advance plans for the revitalisation of Stabroek Market and surrounding areas as part of a broader vision to enhance Georgetownâs functionality, accessibility, and appeal while preserving its rich heritage.
During a planning meeting, subject Minister Priya Manickchand met with technical personnel from the Kingâs Foundation, during which the progress of preliminary concepts was reviewed.
In addition, discussions focused on creating a revitalised urban environment that supports vendors, businesses, commuters, and visitors while improving the overall experience of those who live, work, and travel through the city.
