Government urged to ensure lasting stability of social security system

As Barbadians continue to live longer, President of the Barbados Association of Retired Persons, Marilyn Rice-Bowen, says systems must keep pace with this reality.

She says while longevity is something to celebrate, it comes with a national responsibility.

Ms Rice-Bowen says the government must also consider the long-term viability of the social security system as the population ages.
