While more Barbadians are embracing healthier lifestyles, much more work is needed to encourage people to take responsibility for their health and wellbeing, says a fitness lifestyle event manager.
Celia Collymore, founder and project manager of Bajan Fusion, made the comments during the media launch of its upcoming Fitness Party, set for Saturday, June 13, under the theme Move. Recharge. Thrive. The event is being held in observance of Global Wellness Day and Men’s Health Month, with part of the proceeds benefiting the Men Empowerment Network Support.
Reflecting on attitudes towards health across the island, Collymore said people often fall into different categories when it comes to wellness.
