(Kaieteur News) – One of the 18 contractors who bid to carry out external works at the new administrative building for the Regional Democratic Council (RDC) of Region 10, tendered approximately $12 million below the government’s engineer estimate of $65 million for the project.
According to the minutes of the tender opening for the project released by the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) recently, the 18 contractors all bid below the engineer’s figure.
Of the 18 bids, Keron Evans General Construction & Transportation submitted a bid of $52,909,584, some $12 million less for the project.
