The Anjuman Sunnat-ul-Jamaat Association (ASJA) has issued a statement reminding the public of its longstanding policy of political neutrality.
This in light of recent public endorsements of political parties and candidates by some Imams, some of whom are affiliated with ASJA Jamaats.
Established in 1935, ASJA said it has upheld a non-partisan stance in electoral politics, maintaining that it has never publicly aligned itself with any political party. This tradition, the association stated, reflects its commitment to providing a balanced and unbiased platform that honours the diverse political views of its members.
